The best value in Sony's preview hides in the deluxe editions. 007 First Light's Deluxe Edition is $39.99, half price, while the standard game sits at its full $69.99. NBA 2K27, Marvel's Wolverine, Saros and The Blood of Dawnwalker work the same way: the discounted deluxe costs less than the undiscounted standard edition.
When does the PlayStation Store Black Friday 2026 sale start and end?
It began on Wednesday, November 4 at 00:00 and ends on Monday, November 30 at 23:59, according to Sony's PlayStation Blog announcement. Sony gives the times in PST, GMT and JST, not local time, and the store's own end times show the split: the US, Canadian, Mexican and Brazilian stores run on Pacific time, the UK, German and Australian stores on GMT. Two dates in between matter more than the end date:
- November 16, 00:00: the promotion refreshes, and some deals are replaced with new offers.
- November 20, 23:59: "certain discounts" end early. Sony's banner simply says "Ends 11/20."

Here is what those cutoffs mean on the clock (the conversions are ours):
| Region | Sale starts | Early deals end | Sale ends |
|---|---|---|---|
| US Pacific | Nov 4, 00:00 PST | Nov 20, 23:59 PST | Nov 30, 23:59 PST |
| US Eastern | Nov 4, 03:00 EST | Nov 21, 02:59 EST | Dec 1, 02:59 EST |
| UK | Nov 4, 00:00 GMT | Nov 20, 23:59 GMT | Nov 30, 23:59 GMT |
| Central Europe | Nov 4, 01:00 CET | Nov 21, 00:59 CET | Dec 1, 00:59 CET |
| Australia (Sydney) | Nov 4, 11:00 AEDT | Nov 21, 10:59 AEDT | Dec 1, 10:59 AEDT |
| Japan | Nov 4, 00:00 JST | Nov 20, 23:59 JST | Nov 30, 23:59 JST |
Every game in the next section carries that November 20 end date on the store, in both the US and the UK. If you want one of them, don't wait for Black Friday itself on November 27. Sony says to check each item's product page for its own end date.
What games are on sale in the PlayStation Black Friday sale?
Sony previewed 16 games and editions, and the full list of thousands appears on the store's Black Friday page. Here are the previewed deals with the prices the store showed on November 4.

| Beast of Reincarnation | $44.99, was $59.99 | £37.49, was £49.99 | 25% |
| Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred (Standard) | $29.99, was $39.99 | £26.99, was £35.99 | 25% |

| The Sinking City 2 | $39.99, was $49.99 | £31.99, was £39.99 | 20% |
| Valheim | $23.99, was $29.99 | £19.99, was £24.99 | 20% |
The steepest cuts in Sony's preview are 55% on NBA 2K27's Deluxe Edition and 50% on 007 First Light's, well short of the "up to 75%" Sony quotes for the sale as a whole. Sony also notes that discounts can differ by region, which shows in the table: Astro Bot is 34% off in the US but 29% off in the UK. Not every price is new, either. The store lists $11.99 as Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition's lowest price in the last 30 days, so that deal repeats a recent one.

Should you buy the deluxe or the standard edition?
On these games, the deluxe edition, because only the deluxe is discounted. The store showed these standard editions at full price on November 4:
| Game | Standard edition (US) | Discounted deluxe (US) |
|---|---|---|
| 007 First Light | $69.99 | $39.99 (Deluxe) |
| NBA 2K27 | $69.99 | $44.99 (Deluxe) |
| Marvel's Wolverine | $69.99 | $59.99 (Digital Deluxe) |
| Saros | $69.99 | $59.99 (Digital Deluxe) |
| The Blood of Dawnwalker | $69.99 | $63.99 (Eclipse) |
| UFC 6 | $69.99 | $69.99 (Ultimate) |
UFC 6's Ultimate Edition now costs exactly what the standard game does. The UK store follows the same pattern: Marvel's Wolverine Digital Deluxe is £61.59 against £69.99 for the standard game, and the store lists £79.99 as its lowest price in the last 30 days, so this is the first cut in at least a month.
Echoes of Aincrad goes the other way. The US version of Sony's post shows the Deluxe Edition in its tile, but on the store it's the standard edition that's 30% off, while the Deluxe stays at its full $89.99. The Ultimate Edition, 20% off at $87.99, now costs less than the Deluxe.
Do you need PS Plus for the Black Friday deals?
Not for the 16 deals Sony previewed. The store lists them with no PlayStation Plus branding, so any account gets those prices, and Sony's post doesn't mention extra member discounts. Sony's Black Friday page on PlayStation.com does promise offers on PlayStation Plus membership plans, which it says are "coming soon", with no dates or prices yet.
Is there a PS5 console Black Friday deal?
Not as of November 4. Sony's announcement covers PS5, PS4 and PS VR2 games, expansions and DLC, and neither its US nor its UK Black Friday page lists a PS5 console or DualSense offer. The UK page does advertise hardware: "Save £20" on the PlayStation Portal in white and in Midnight Black, and "Save £90" on the PS VR2 headset and its Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle. Sony's UK buy pages still listed the Portal at £219.99 and PS VR2 at £399.99 that day, so those offers hadn't started when we checked.
What we don't know yet
- Which deals replace the early-ending ones on November 16.
- What the PS Plus membership offer will be, and when it starts.
- Whether PS5 consoles or controllers get a discount, when the UK Portal and PS VR2 offers go live, and whether they reach the US.
