This year there's no beta. Sports Interactive renamed its early-play build the Launch Preview, and let every PC and Mac player try it for free for five days, with careers carrying over into the full game.
When does FM27 early access start and end?
The FM27 Launch Preview opened at 6pm GMT on October 29 and runs until the full launch on November 10, the FM27 release date on our game page. For the first five days it is free for everyone on PC and Mac; Sports Interactive's free play announcement says that free window closes at 6pm GMT on November 3.
From that moment, only two groups keep playing until launch: players who pre-purchase FM27 from a SEGA-approved digital store, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass members. Steam shows US visitors the same cut-off in Pacific time ("Play for free until Nov 3 @ 10:00am"), and Microsoft's catalog ends the free Launch Preview listing at 17:59:59 UTC that day.
Sports Interactive's Launch Preview post says the build "replaces what has previously been titled Beta / Advanced Access" and is meant to be "closer in quality and finality to launch than previous early play builds." Some club and player assets may still be missing, because parts of the data are "still under approval process by right holders."
Do FM27 Launch Preview saves carry over?
Yes. According to the FM27 FAQ, any saves created before launch "can be continued into the paid period of Launch Preview and full launch without the need to start again." That covers careers started during the free week: buy the game later and you pick up where you stopped. Game Pass players move from the free to the paid Launch Preview through their subscription.
Sports Interactive has already patched the Launch Preview once. Its Minor Update 1 notes on Steam fix a missing UEFA squad registration message that could leave senior players unregistered and stop the game from saving, and the studio says another update will arrive for the November 10 launch, followed by a first post-launch patch looking at the 3D match engine.
What time does FM27 release on November 10?
Sports Interactive hasn't announced an hour. Microsoft's store catalog gives both FM27 on the Xbox PC app and FM27 Console a release timestamp of 16:00 UTC on November 10, which is 4pm in the UK. Steam shows only the date. Below are our conversions of Microsoft's timestamp; treat them as store data until SI confirms.

Sports Interactive's FAQ says all digital versions release on November 10 on every supported platform. Boxed PC copies also arrive that day; boxed PS5 copies follow on November 20, and November 2026's other big releases are on our November release calendar.
How much does FM27 cost, and is it on Game Pass?
On Steam, the game costs $59.99, £49.99 or €59.99, with 10% off ($53.99, £44.99, €53.99) while the pre-purchase offer runs until November 10. SEGA's launch announcement gives the same £49.99 retail price. Only copies bought from SEGA-approved digital retailers get the pre-purchase discount and the paid Launch Preview.
Game Pass is confirmed for PC: SEGA says FM27 (PC/Mac) is available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers from day one, through the Xbox PC app. You can't pre-purchase FM27 Console, according to the FAQ, and the Xbox Store data we checked lists no FM27 Console price yet.
Is FM27 on PS5, Xbox and mobile, and what PC does it need?
Yes. FM27 Console launches on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox handheld devices on November 10, though it gets no Launch Preview. On phones, FM27 Mobile is on iOS and Android exclusively through Netflix, and FM27 Touch comes to Apple Arcade. On PC, the game runs on Windows and Mac through Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Xbox PC app. There's no Switch version in the FAQ's platform list.
The Xbox Store listing for FM27 Console adds customisable controller mapping, a Match Preparation system you set from your inbox, and cross-platform online play for 2 to 32 players, which needs a Game Pass Essential, Premium or Ultimate subscription on Xbox.
FM27 is light by modern PC standards: Steam lists 6 GB of RAM, a GTX 960 or Radeon R9 380 and 20 GB of storage as the Windows minimum, on Windows 10 or 11. For the recommended spec you need 12 GB of RAM, an Intel Core i5-9600 or Ryzen 5 2600 and an RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 5600 XT. On Mac, an Apple M1 covers both the minimum and the recommended spec, on macOS 13 or later.
What's new in FM27?

Top of the FM27 features page is Tactical Effectiveness, which ties recruitment and training to how well players fit your tactics, followed by Tactical Tweaks with new player instructions you can change during a match. Match days get dynamic crowds, weather and cut scenes, and Shuffle Draft, a multiplayer draft mode made with FIFAe, reimagines Fantasy Draft for up to 32 players per game, per SI's Shuffle Draft FAQ.
What we don't know yet
- Sports Interactive's own release hour. The 4pm GMT time comes from Microsoft's store catalog, and Steam shows only the date.
- The FM27 Console price on PlayStation and Xbox.
- Exactly what the launch-day update changes. SI has only said it brings "further optimisations."
