Made by someone who actually plays them

Game Over Interactive is an independent gaming news site. No publisher behind it, no press junkets, no team of twenty.

I play games, and I read about them constantly. That is genuinely the whole origin story.

What kept bothering me was how much work it took to find out what was actually happening. A publisher posts a blog, twelve sites rewrite the same three paragraphs, and the detail that matters, the price that quietly moved, the thing missing from the patch notes, the mode that got cut, sits four scrolls down or nowhere at all. I wanted somewhere that led with that part.

So I built this. Game Over Interactive covers releases, updates, esports and the business decisions behind the games, aimed at people who want the substance without half an hour of searching for it.

What you will find here

  • News on releases, updates and the industry decisions that affect what you play and what it costs.
  • A release calendar covering what is coming and when.
  • Live and esports coverage, including what is being streamed right now.

Who is writing this

One person. I am a player, not a career journalist, and I would rather say that plainly than dress the site up as something larger than it is. Articles are published under the Game Over Interactive name because that is honest about how the site works.

What I can tell you is how every piece gets made and checked before it goes up, which is set out in full on the editorial policy page. If something here is wrong, I want to know and I will fix it.
