Hyperlane Highway is a VR roguelite arcade shooter where your body is the controller. A new body lean movement that doesn't need thumbsticks. Lean left and right to switch lanes and forward and back to rise and dive. Twist controller inward to push the throttle or slow down to pick your shots. Dual wield blasters and dodge enemy fire from the bots that have taken over the lanes. Build your run from 90+ sponsor cards across 5 rarities that are sold by the rival megacorp sponsor brands that reward loyalty. Lean into the pitstop lanes to buy, sell, recycle or take a chance on mystery cards. Play well to build hyper for higher speeds and bigger rewards but more dangerous play. Every stage end with a gate guardian: elite variants of the 25+ unique enemies or a stronger multi stage boss. Between runs you work through 150+ challenges, unlock new cards to pick up, climb, through 6 career sponsor tiers and earn 30+ cosmetics. Compare your best runs against other riders on the online leaderboards. Built around a unique movement with comfort in mind from day 1. A Comfort sliders and multiple input styles let you play the way that suits you. Developed to combat VR motion sickness from traditional movement.
Storyline
The bots have taken over the galaxy's hyperlanes. The megacorps want them back, so they sponsor Way Riders, lane-cleaning celebrities whose runs are broadcast to every screen in the galaxy. You are the newest rider, assisted by your board companion Byte. Every run is an advertisement. Every death is monetised.
